

The mission of the Information Technology Department is to provide a safe, efficient, reliable, and secure technology infrastructure to all of the City Of Richmond’s employees and citizens. This infrastructure includes, but is not limited to, local and wide area networks, Internet connectivity, email services, cellular telephone services, voice over IP (VOIP) services, software support, personal computer support, printer support, and World Wide Web presence.
Our goal is to provide each individual with the best technology available that will enable them to do their jobs more effectively and efficiently. We are constantly researching and testing new technologies as they become available, keeping in mind the needs of the city and budget constraints.
